ABINGDON, VA - Raymond Vance Shingler, age 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Abingdon Church of Christ with Bill Haywood, Minister, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Abingdon Church of Christ, P.O. Box 604, Abingdon Va. 24212.
