GATE CITY, VA - Alma B. Lane Kinkead, Gate City, VA entered into rest at Holston Valley Medical Center on July 14, 2016 after a brief illness. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA and anytime at the residence of her daughter. Funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Clayton Williams and Rev. Wayne Baker officiating. Music will be provided by Way of the Cross. Graveside service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 2PM in the Strong Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 PM to follow in procession. Pallbearers will be Steve Vermillion, Joshua Vermillion, Bo Griffin, Johnny Jobe, George Shelton, Tyler Shelton, David Dunn and Larry Quillen. Honorary pallbearers will be John M. Mann, James Harold Mann, Paul Quillen, Warner Brickey and granddaughters. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Strong Cemetery c/o Ann Hass, 176 Silverleaf Poplar Lane, Gate City VA 24251, for mowing and upkeep of the cemetery.
