DUFFIELD, VA - James (Jim) Carlson passed away peacefully at his home on April 15, 2016, at the age of 47, after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held at the Gate City Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016. As was his wish, the family will hold a private prayer service to honor his life. Gate City Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of James Carlson.
