GATE CITY, VA - William Alfred Herron, age 87 of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. Graveside service will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 PM in the Holston View Cemetery. Susan Herron will sing “The Lord’s Prayer “. Pallbearers are nephews and great nephews. Honorary pallbearers are James Jones and Jimmy Coley. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM.
