Lyle McDowall, 79, passed away on March 28, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM at Mendota United Methodist Church, Mendota, VA. Funeral service will follow at 3:30 PM with Rev. Bill Porter officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mendota Cemetery, with the American Legion Post #3/265 providing military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mendota United Methodist Church or the donor’s choice.
