KINGSPORT - Kenneth Elmo Goins, 89, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning (October 24, 2016) at Indian Path Medical Center following an extended illness. Calling hours will be held on Friday (October 28, 2016) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday (October 29, 2016) at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lawrence Wolfe, Rev. John Goins, and Brother Kenneth Lyons, officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral ceremony on Saturday (October 29, 2016) at Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites being conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3/# 265 and Rev. Jack Hilton, officiating. John Goins, Kenneth Lyons, Randall Garber, Eric Goins, Cole Goins, Jesse Garber will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Garber, Herman Garber, and Trenity Watlington.
