BLACKWATER, VA - Nettie Ruth Collett, 89, Blackwater, VA, formerly of Ft. Blackmore, passed away at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rehab in Duffield, VA on Friday, October 21, 2016 after a brief illness. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at her residence. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley and Bro. Chris Fields officiating. Pam and Betty Jo Maness will provide the music. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Maness Family Cemetery, Blackwater Community of Scott Co. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
