GATE CITY, VA - Shirley Horton Salling 80, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Nova Healthcare following a brief illness. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Scott-County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Paul Blessing and Pastor David Lane officiating. A graveside service will follow at Horton-Roller cemetery in Fairview, VA with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. Allyn Horton, John Gilbert, Dalton Horton, Josh Mowell, David Salling, and Brian Baker will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Baker, Derek Gilbert, and Billy Salling.
