GATE CITY, VA - William Russell Christian, age 97, of Gate City, VA, born May 16, 1918, in Surgoinsville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Nova Health and Rehab Center in Weber City, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Steven Alley officiating. Special music will be provided by Carl Seaver. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 ay Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Caney Valley.
