KINGSPORT - John Peters, 56 of Kingsport passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ralph Owens officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at East Tennessee Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am. Pallbearers will be Tim Jones, Tim McCoy Jones, Tim Brickey, Chad Jones, Dustin Jones, Billy Puckett Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the Brock Industrial Cleaning Crew. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Peters family.
