KINGSPORT - Wanda Deloris Asbury Smith, 66, of Kingsport, formerly of Cloud Apartments, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Indian Path Medical Center, after fighting a hard battle with diabetes. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the family to help defray cemetery expenses. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and at other hours at the residence of her daughter. The service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Johnny Gibson, Rev. Joe Robinette and Rev. Phil Kidd officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Depew’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. and then proceed to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
