KINGSPORT - Helen Geraldine “Jerry” Weaver was taken into the presence of Jesus on Friday (August 12, 2016) at the age of 78, after a brief battle with liver cancer. The family will receive friends on Saturday (August 13, 2016) from 4 to 6 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Manis and Pastor Steve Alley officiating. Committal services will be held Sunday (August 14, 2016) at 2:00 p.m. at Weaver Family Cemetery (Ashe County, NC). Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at East Lawn Funeral Home by 11:30 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family request that memorial contributions be sent to Weaver Family Cemetery (c/o Vickie Weaver Barnes or Tod Weaver).
