KINGSPORT - Douglas W. Carico, Sr., 72, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services for Douglas W. Carico, Sr. will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Shelton Meade officiating. A special eulogy will be given by grandson Nick Coates. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Joe Coates, Nick Coates, Travis Carico, Weldon Carico, Paul Wingfield, and Mike Carrico. Honorary Pallbearers will be Curt Carico, Bill Pendleton, and Bill Johnson. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia or anytime at the home.
