On July 29, 2016 the Lord took home His faithful servant David Michael “Mike” Shoemaker after a 10 year battle with cancer which he fought with honor, strength and dignity. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Higher Ground Baptist Church, 1625 Lynn Garden Dr. Kingsport, TN 37665 with special notation in honor of David Shoemaker/The Care House Ministry. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 2 in the sanctuary of Higher Ground Baptist Church. Family will begin receiving visitors at 5pm with the service at 7pm. Light refreshments will be served in the Family Life Center immediately following the service.
