WEBER CITY, VA – Mable “Ruth” Blanton, 67 of Weber City, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City. Friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Aaron Edens and Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. A eulogy will be given by Howard Tipton. A private graveside service will be held Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Freddie Barnett, Ronnie Tipton, Brent Meyers, Michael Grizzle, Bryson Gillenwater and Samuel Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Blanton, Paul Roark, Mike Blanton, John Thomas Blanton and Chad Gillenwater.
