GATE CITY, VA - Wilbur Morrison "Flip" Matthews, 83, Gate City, VA passed away, Saturday, July 16, 2016. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Francisco Cemetery in the Big Moccasin community of Nickelsville, VA with Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post #265, Gate City, VA.
