MOUNT CARMEL - Michael David Wallen, 44, Mount Carmel, TN passed away early Tuesday (July 12, 2016) morning the result of a very tragic, useless incident. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Bill Tignor, Rev. Johnny Duncan and Brother T.J. Hood officiating. Chris Holder and Journey Home will provide the music. Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Scottie Duncan, Tim Duncan, Larry Wallen, Carl Wallen, Jimmy Williams, Peyton Lane, and David Cassell will serve as pallbearers. Tony Duncan and J. C. Wallen will serve as honorary pallbearers. It is the request of the family that no food is brought to the home. While they would appreciate the gesture, the family is so small they feel it would go to waste.
