KINGSPORT - Robert “Bob” Chaffin, 62, of Kingsport, passed away suddenly Friday, June 17, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center. He was born May 28, 1954 in Savannah, GA to Lincoln and Patsy Ruth Taylor Chafin. The family will receive friends 5:00-6:45 pm Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm in the Oak Hill Chapel with Rev. Thomas Arbaugh officiating. Chief Craig Dye will deliver the eulogy. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers, David Fain, Jr., Aaron Fain, Russell Adkins, Tyler Fain and members of the Kingsport Fire Department. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials in Bob’s honor be made to the Kingsport Firefighters Association, 2609 East Center Street, Kingsport, TN 37664 or St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2517 North John B. Dennis Highway, Kingsport, TN 37660. The staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Robert “Bob” Chaffin.
