FORT BLACKMORE, VA - Michael Steven McDavid, 58, of Fort Blackmore, VA, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 17, 2016, after a lengthy illness. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at. the Gate City Funeral Home in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Jimmy Hammonds officiating. Graveside services will follow at McDavid Cemetery in the Rye Cove Community, Duffield, VA, Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., Monday to go in procession to the graveside service.
