KINGSPORT - Hershel D. Kerney, 74, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 5, 2016 at his residence after a brief illness. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Shannon Powers officiating. Military Graveside Rites, conducted by the American Legion Post #3 and Post #265, will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, in the Garden of Everlasting Life. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, P. O. Box 66, Kingsport, TN 37662 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
