Leona Cox Peters, born September 30,1928, passed away peacefully in her home on May 18, 2016. Always a scientist at heart, it was Leona's wish that her body be donated to medical re-search. A memorial service will be planned at Splendido and later in Virginia where she request-ed that her ashes be scattered on the graves of her parents and only son, Lucian Peters Jr. who predeceased her in 1986. No date has been set for the memorials at this time.
