Nickelsville, VA - Marion C. Joplin, age 83 of Nickelsville, Va passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital following a brief illness. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 8:00 pm immediately following the visitation with Pastor Steve Collins. Music will be provided by Nickelsville First Baptist Church Choir. There will be a Military Honor’s Interment service on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm, at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of the Good Shephard with Mike Lane, Tim Lane, Zach Berry, Keith Warner, Jeff Sutton, and Danny Dixon serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hill County Campers Club. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 3/265.
