Gary Davis, formerly of Hilton, VA and Bristol, TN, died Friday, April 29, 2016, from complications of metastatic pancreatic cancer in Germantown, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street in Kingsport, TN, with the service at 7 PM in the chapel. Services will be led by Rev. Mark Kilbourne of Hilton United Methodist Church, and friends or family who would like to share remembrances at the service will have the opportunity to do so. Friends and family will gather Saturday morning, May 7, 2016, at 10 AM at the Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Pallbearers will be friends and family. In lieu of flowers, Gary requested that donations be made to the two churches his parents attended in the area: Hilton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 10, 2869 Hilton Road, Gate City, VA 24251 or Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church, 327 W. Mary Street, Bristol, VA 24201.
