KINGSPORT - Jim Crews, 73, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Sunrise Baptist Church while doing what the Lord called him to do. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with his dearest friend Dr. Roy Branson officiating. Music will be provided by Angie Carswell. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Thursday May 5, 2016 at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bob Dixon, Joe Dixon, Lee Carswell, Matt McClanahan, Clayton Arnold, and Jesse Wise. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sunrise Baptist Church, 217 Morrell Creek Road, Bluff City, TN 37618.
