BRISTOL, VA - John Russell Jerrell, Jr. age 68 passed away Wednesday April 17, 2016. At his request John wanted everything done privately and his way so there was no visitation or funeral service. The funeral home and family met at the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN at 2:30 p.m. On April 20, 2016. Military Rites were conducted by the Gate City Honors Team. Pallbearers were Charles "Bam" Erskine, James Catterton, Brandon Goins, Devon Wade, Tyler Dingus, and Grant Walker. Mullins-Sturgill Funeral Home of Pennington Gap was in charge of the arrangements.
