EASTERN STAR - Martin H. Hale, age 82, of the Eastern Star Community, took his last bid and laid his gavel down to meet his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. The family of Martin H. Hale will receive friends, Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary with Pastor Bryan Moore and Dr. Greg Burton officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Eastern Star Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Teague, Cade Mitchell, Lee Bowser, Gordon Harrison, Tom Hilton and Wayne King. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Norris, the 1952 class of Holston School, and members of his Sunday School Class at Colonial Heights Baptist Church.
